100% natural 100% organic
A liquid organic nutritional supplement providing over 60 minerals and
trace elements in highly bioavailable chelated form to supplement diets
for production animals.
Following the significant success of the base product, Humavyte, for
horses and companion animals, Ranvet is pleased to announce that
Phytomins is now available for ruminant production animals.
Whilst the base Humavyte product is
adequate for most animals, the elevated levels of fortified mineral and trace element
in Phytomins cater specifically to the nutritional needs of
production cattle and sheep in intensive feeding conditions.
The most significant factor in obtaining adequate performance from
production animals, including dairy & beef cattle, sheep and goats is
the level and state of nutrition. Animals can only produce as well as
their current diets allows. The majority of animal health and production
problems in commercial production animals of all species worldwide
originate from deficient or imbalanced rations.
Grazing Animal Production Is Limited by Soil & Pasture Quality
Production animals grazing on pasture are particularly at risk of
essential mineral and trace element deficiencies.
The nutrient quality and balance of animal diets depends primarily on
the soil and environmental conditions present where the crops and
pastures are grown, and all farmers and graziers are aware that most
regions of the world have existing well defined soil or pasture
deficiencies or excesses of essential nutrients which can seriously
affect production performance.
Most grazing regions have well defined nutritional deficiencies or
excesses which limit commercial production parameters. The quality of
available pastures depends largely on the quality of the soils. All
farmers and graziers recognise that, in drought conditions in
particular, available pasture is in limited supply and feed quality can
be very poor, resulting in a need for supplementary feeding.
Intensive Animal Production Provides Additional Nutritional Stress
More intensively raised production animals are also at risk of
inadequate nutrition when feeds and supplements from other regions are
added to diets. Intensive animal production commonly relies on imported
feeds and concentrates.
Stress Increases Nutrient Requirements
Nutrient deficiencies and imbalances affect all production animals; most
particularly those under the added stress of pregnancy, lactation,
growth and drought, where the demand for essential nutrients may be
elevated significantly above the demand in non-productive animals.
High grain and/or concentrate diets are commonly used in production
animals to increase the energy density of rations to allow optimum
production, often at the risk of significantly altering gut microflora
balances. This inevitably alters production ability to varying degrees.
Most production animals under nutritional stress cannot replace their
total daily nutrient requirements from a pasture diet alone.
Drought Conditions Provide Added Stress
Drought and limited feed conditions can result in urgent supplementary
feeding designed primarily to keep production animals alive. While
drought feeding relies on providing energy and protein as well as
roughage, for survival, these nutritional conditions result in serious
deficiencies of essential minerals and trace elements, as well as
vitamins.
Without the essential nutrients being available in small amounts every
day, all of the protein, energy and roughage you feed will be largely
ineffectual, as the essential nutrients are required for a wide variety
of normal chemical reactions in the body: these include simple things
such as the production of blood cells, hormones, enzymes, DNA,
structural proteins like bone, tendons and other essential body tissues
such as muscle, hair and wool

Phytomins is carefully blended from a range of natural, organic plant
products grown under ideal conditions, where all minerals and trace
elements are available in highly bioavailable chelated form, just as the
plants produced them in the first place.
As an oral liquid preparation, Phytomins provides over 60 minerals,
trace elements and vitamins in small daily doses to ensure that nutrient
deficiencies do not limit survival or production in commercial
production animals. Many of these minerals and trace elements are only
required in minute daily doses and most of them are not available from
overworked soils, commercial supplements or poor quality rations.
The highly bioavailable chelated mineral and trace element levels in
Phytomins equal those in currently available commercial supplements and
are adequate for the daily requirements of all ruminant and other
production animals, including pigs and poultry.
In addition, Phytomins daily supplementation provides a wide variety of
plant origin volatile oils, chlorophyll, sterols, organic complexes,
growth factors, alginates, vitamins, humic and fulvic acids,
phytocomplexes, as well as lesser known trace elements including
titanium, boron, vanadium, zirconium, nickel, strontium and germanium.
Phytomins is designed by veterinarians for production animals requiring
maximum nutrition from their diet.
All ingredients in Phytomins are 100% natural, and 100% organic, in
highly available, water soluble chelated form. Phytomins contains no
added chemicals or pharmaceutical products, with no products of animal
origin.

Directions for Use:
Phytomins is a water soluble, oral liquid nutritional supplement
designed for daily use in several ways to suit a wide variety of
commercial needs;
• as an individual oral drench
• liquid poured on to feed rations daily
• added to drinking water
Maintenance rate: Cattle over 300kg 20-40mL daily
Calves under 300kg 10-20mL daily
Sheep, goats, alpaca 5-10mL daily
Pigs 5-10mL daily
Under severe nutritional stress or recovery after illness or injury:
Daily dose may safely be doubled while animals are recovering, and
during pregnancy and lactation.
Drought Feeding
Phytomins may be safely added to grain and forage supplements (hay and
straw) during drought feeding and may be safely combined with urea
and/or molasses supplements when hand feeding stock. The sulfur
compounds in Phytomins are of particular value when feeding nitrogen
supplements such as urea during drought feeding periods.
Water medication
If added to drinking water for livestock, supplement Phytomins at a dose
rate of 2mL Phytomins to each litre of drinking water
The Use of Salt Licks
Free choice salt licks typically see some animals eat excessive amounts,
while others don’t touch the licks. Phytomins contains all of the
minerals and trace elements found in traditional salt licks, and
guarantees uptake for all animals when Phytomins is distributed on to
feed or in drinking water. Phytomins improves uptake of minerals & trace
elements as they are all in highly bioavailable chelated form, in
contrast to inorganic mineral salt licks and most other mineral
supplements. When using natural, organic Phytomins, you don’t need to
waste money on additional salt licks.
