Gastric Ulcers in Horses Normal and Grade 1

A stomach ulcer is an area comprised of mucus producing cells that been eroded acid has been able to destroy the muscular wall, causing inflammation that can cause bleeding into the stomach. If severe enough stomach ulcers in horses can be debilitating and potentially life threatening.

Superficial erosion of the squamous mucosa on the greater curvature
